DECORATIVE CONCRETE.

Exposed aggregate, integral color, polished concrete, and acid-stained finishes — decorative concrete for homeowners who want something better than gray.

Why this matters

CONCRETE,
DRESSED UP.

Decorative concrete covers everything beyond standard gray broom finish — exposed aggregate (stones at the surface), integral color (color mixed into the concrete), polished finish (ground and polished smooth), acid stain (mottled translucent color), and combinations of all of the above.

These finishes cost more than standard concrete but dramatically less than pavers, flagstone, or natural stone. Done right, they look custom and last just as long as standard concrete.

FAQ

DECORATIVE CONCRETE QUESTIONS.

Decorative concrete vs stamped — what's the difference?

Stamped uses pattern stamps to mimic stone/brick. Decorative is broader — includes exposed aggregate, color, polish, and stain treatments. Often combined.

How does it compare to pavers cost-wise?

Decorative concrete is typically 30-50% less than pavers per sqft. Pavers last longer and don't crack as a system; concrete is faster and cheaper.

Color options?

Hundreds with integral color or stains. We always mock up samples on-site before pour.

Will color fade in Utah sun?

Quality integral color is largely permanent. Acid stains fade slightly over decades. UV-stable sealer extends life.

Re-sealing schedule?

Every 2-4 years for decorative finishes. More frequent than standard concrete because the finish itself is what's being protected.

Indoor and outdoor use?

Yes for both. Polished concrete and acid stains are popular for basement and garage floors. Exposed aggregate and stamping are exterior-focused.
